The Young Farmer Business Program is pleased to present 'Getting Started - Profit Ready' workshop in Dorrigon on 10 November 2020 and on farm in Ebor on 11 November 2021
This FREE workshop is aimed at helping young primary producers understand the key drivers of profit.
Hear from agribusiness consultant Richard Groom. Richard has been working with farmers on getting on top of their numbers for over 20 years. He's going to share insights into:
  • Where does profit come from? What does profit look like?
  • What factors affect profitability in farming businesses
  • The 80:20 rule and why it matters
  • Working in the business v working on the business
  • Key Performance Indicators explained
  • How to run a monthly meeting
  • Ideal profit ratios and turnover ratios for your business

The workshop will run in the evening followed by a farm tour the next day to "Wongwibinda" at Ebor.

I, the Participant, or if I am under 18 my parent or guardian:

  1. grant(s) to the Department of Industry the right to make photographs or visual Images of me in relation to the Production (“the Images”);
  2. provide(s) consent to the Department of Industry to use my name, image, likeness and voice in connection with the distribution and promotion of the Images without any obligation to identify the Images;
  3. agree(s) that all copyright in the Images will vest immediately in the Department of Industry;
  4. agree(s) that the Images may be edited and used, in whole or in part, at the sole discretion of the Department of Industry, in all forms of media in perpetuity throughout the world;
  5. grant(s) the Department of Industry a licence to use, and authorise others to use, all or parts of the Images including any material which I have supplied to the Department of Industry for the purposes supporting the Images or their promotion;
  6. grant(s) the right to the Department of Industry to transfer the Images to other government agencies, media and other relevant organisations without further consent provided that the Images are only used in accordance with this Release;
  7. waive(s) any right to inspect or approve the finished use of the Images;
  8. hereby release(s) the Department of Industry from and against any claims by the Participant that may arise regarding the use of the Images including any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, infringement of moral rights or rights of publicity;
  9. understand(s) that there is no compensation for participation in the Production.

My details (name and address) or those details of the youth on whose behalf I am signing, and this Release are being provided by me voluntarily. I warrant that I have read and understood this form.

I understand that:

(i)    the Department of Industry is collecting these details for the purposes of the Production;

(ii)    I do not have to provide name and address details but failure to do so may mean that I, or the youth on whose behalf I am signing, will not be identified in the Production;

(iii)    the details and Images will be held at the Department of Industry's offices at the address set out above; and

(iv)    I can contact the Contact Person listed above to access or correct the details at any time.

I am over the age of 18 and have the right to enter into this deed of release.
