Event Information

Featuring principal wind players from major world orchestras, Ensemble Peregrine
perform together exclusively for the Australian National Academy of Music Artists Program. Jack Schiller (Principal Bassoon) and Thomas Hutchinson (Associate Principal Oboe) of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra are joined by Alex Morris (Assistant Principal Clarinet, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra) and Andrew Young (Horn, Orchestra Philharmonie Luxembourg), with leading Australian pianist, Gladys Chua. The centrepiece of their concert is Mozart's renowned Quintet for Piano and Winds, a work the composer declared his best. Sparkling chamber pieces by Poulenc, Holliger and Stanhope complete the concert program. The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) shines a touring spotlight on its brilliant alumni through their new ANAM Artists Program, showcasing their achievements in a national series of recitals and performances.
