Geurie Picnic Races have become one of the great social events of the year. in 2021 this event has been moved to Wellington

Come and enjoy a day of country racing at its best at Wellington Race Club.

The Club strives to maintain the family orientated atmosphere of the day. A very long standing tradition. Over the years we have had very generous support from our many sponsors which has helped greatly in attracting strong fields and we appreciate their support.

The Club provides a range of entertainment scheduled for race day, including TAB and Bookmakers on course for all meetings. The Club runs a full bar and food is available on course.

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, tickets are strictly limited.

COVID 19 CROWD RESTRICTIONS
Strict Covid-19 crowd restrictions and social distancing regulations will be enforced.

The number of people allowed to attend Geurie Picnic Races @ Wellington will be determined by the NSW Government's latest Covid-19 crowd limit for Wellington Racecourse.
 
Entry will be by ticket only and once the Covid-19 Cap has been reached no further tickets will be sold.
 
Refunds?
Unless required to by law NO REFUND OR EXCHANGE will be given except for in the unlikely circumstances of cancellation of the event by the organiser. Refund liability is limited to the total amount of the Ticket purchase (including any fees or charges). The seller is not liable for expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation. 

Do you provide EFTPOS facilities?
Yes please attend the Secretary Office to use the EFTPOS/ATM facilities to withdraw cash.

Can i bring alcohol onto the course?

Wellington Race Club is a fully licensed premise, and no alcohol can be brought to the races.
It is a condition of entry that bags and eskies be presented for inspection by security staff.

Can I bring food onto the course?
Picnic style hampers are permitted on all races day, no food is permitted for pre-booked functions when catering is supplied. We allow you to bring your own chairs and tables to race days.

  • Wellington Race Club's dress code requires all attendees to dress smart casual as a minimum.
  • Offensive attire, (imagery or language) is not permitted.
  • Some events/functions may require the need to dress in a semi-formal (suit and tie), but should this be the case, you will be notified prior.
