Event Information

Ever dreamt of success in modelling, acting, other talent, or just want to try?

LAUNCH is a united professional industry event to assist potential models and to empower teens living in regional areas.

Modelling has drastically changed since the tall skinny catwalk model of last century, and now allows for more colours, shapes and sizes than ever, so you will be surprised.

This fun day is all about understanding the model industry, empowering teen self esteem, and can be a launch pad for new careers. It's the place to get all the information, support and confidence, or even just to try it for fun if you've ever had a dream.

For TEENS / PARENTS / ASPIRING & WORKING MODELS  - Invite your potential model friends or even those needing and injection of confidence to stand against bullying.

TIME: 10am - 4pm
LOCATION:  Mudgee
AGE: 12+
*FREE entry for 1 parent accompanying a paying teen (only teen needs to register and pay)

In conjunction with the SDA Model Union, Aussie Elite Model Network, Australian Model Conference and other affiliates, you'll get professional advice on model industry topics: safety, pay, agencies, social media, casting, and how to get paid work.

YOU TRY MODELLING

  • All the important industry guidance to get you started as a model
  • 2x free test photo shoots with experienced model photographers - so dress to impress and bring a second outfit
  • Walk the runway and get professional advice
  • Learn about model posing and tips to look good in camera snaps
  • Network and discuss your modelling with professionals
  • We will be searching for country talent to mentor as fashion models and use others as commercial shoot extras too

EXTRA: Bring your printed portfolio images (or on iPad) if you'd like free professional feedback as a model, or potential agency and job connections.

A professional Make Up Artist will be available to assist with touch ups before your photo shoot, and edited images will be available at a nominal fee to start your portfolio, or just for a portrait of you looking stunning as a glamorous model.

MODEL SEARCH We're also on the lookout for aspiring or active models from rural NSW for special paid projects and events. This could be your chance to get noticed!

YOUR SPEAKERS

Dean Marzolla is the most highly respected and down to earth Australian model industry authority after 6 years of independent industry work, projects, castings, education, and model advocacy. Decades within TV, major photographic media and fashion gave Dean all the experience and insights to success within the model industry. Working with celebrities and supermodels, along with casting models for photo shoots and runways shows, allowed Dean to become one of the most insightful key industry leaders to date. He recently formed the Australian Model Industry Alliance and is now sharing all his invaluable advice via a new book expected in 2019.

Dani Fitch is a stunning hard working Sydney model with a powerful presence and the ability to stand out among other beauties on the catwalk. Years of modelling experience, covers of magazines and work interstate continues as she now shares this passion part time to make a difference within medical science. Dani is also the National Director of the Miss Grand International pageant in Australia & Fiji, and a true role model to younger women.

Monica Rose works for the SDA Models Union and understands the rights and entitlements for the modern model. She steps in so often as many models today get exploited not understanding employer responsibilities or workplace safety. This information and advice will put you a step in front of others as you build your future.
