Event Information

Signum Saxophone Quartet has achieved cult status in the classical music world, playing instruments rarely found in the concert hall. Signum debuted at Carnegie Hall New York in 2013 and currently perform in major festivals all over Europe. Their debut recording Echoes was released by Deutsche Grammophon in 2021.
Musicians Blaž Kemperle, Hayrapet Arakelyan, Alan Lužar and Guerino Bellarosa met in Cologne and founded Signum in 2006. Together they constantly seek out new ideas, ground-breaking challenges and intriguing artistic encounters. In a program spanning Bach to Gershwin, they are joined on their first Australian tour by violinist Kristian Winther in a unique arrangement of Kurt Weill’s Violin Concerto.
