The Gunnedah Show 2022 – ‘the Royal of the North West’, 134 years and still going strong!

Last year Gunnedah Show successfully adapted to COVID-19 Safe Rules and was able to hold a successful, safe and enjoyable 3 day show for everyone. We are excited to announce that this year we will be Showcasing Gunnedah again for THREE FULL DAYS growing every year, it is shaping up to be a full program with plenty for everyone and one that the Gunnedah community can be proud of!

This event is jam packed full of Blue Ribbon Competitions, Vintage Machinery Displays, Live Entertainment, Nightly Arena Entertainment, Animal Nursey where the kids can get up close and personal with the animals, thrill seeker rides, showbags and much much more. Below is a teaser of what’s in store…

2022 Gunnedah Show Highlights include:

Friday Night

  • Friday night Rodeo - Bulls, Broncs and Barrels ‘NEW’
  • Return of the 6 Bar Showjumping… Fast and exciting knock out competition ‘NEW’
  • Friday night ‘Skill of Arms’ Tent pegging in the main Arena NEW
  • Show Bar open with LIVE performance by local Singer/Guitarist Sam Snape ‘NEW’

Saturday Night

  • The ROOFTOP EXPRESS SHOW - Australiana comedy, awe-inspiring horsemanship & thrilling stunts, it makes it one for the entire family! ‘NEW’
  • Tent Pegging - Swords and Lancers, high speed skill and agility. ’NEW’
  • Open Rodeo – Bulls/Broncs/Bulldogging
  • Incredible Show Fireworks by KA BOOM FIRWORKS.
  • Col Finlay performing LIVE at Show Bar ‘NEW’

SHOW MEMBERSHIP - 3 DAY PASS  2022

 Membership entitles the bearer to Discounted 3 days entry to the 2022 Gunnedah Show - Tickets must be purchased Prior to Friday 1st April

Family Membership is for bona fide families only.

Single Membership is for one person and does not entitle the holder to free admittance for children accompanying them.

Family Membership $40.00 - 3 Day Pass

Adult Membership (18 years and over) $15.00 - 3 Day Pass

Child Membership (under 18 years) $10.00 - 3 Day Pass

Aged Pensioners $10.00 - 3 Day Pass

GENERAL REGULATIONS

  1. Members of the Gunnedah Show Society, upon production of their membership ticket, will be admitted to the Society’s Annual Show.
  2. COVID-19 Rules must be adhered to and Gunnedah Show Society reserve the right to deny entry or ask people to leave if rules are not followed, to ensure a safe and enjoyable show for all.
  3. The Committee reserves the right to alter or delete any clause, condition, event or class in the programme and its decision in all cases shall be final.
  4. Every care will be taken of exhibits, but the committee will not be responsible for any losses damage or faults. All persons / organizations compete / exhibit at their own risk, not-withstanding the existence or otherwise of a signed entry / nomination form.
  5. No late entries will be accepted except under the discretion of sectional convenor.
  6. The decision of the Judge will be final except where a protest or complaint in writing is lodged with the Secretary on the ground on the day of the show within three hours after notice of award has been issued.
  7. The protest must be accompanied by a deposit of $50.00, which may be forfeited if protest is found to be frivolous. All protests and complaints will be dealt with by the disputes committee from whose decision there shall be no appeal.

  9. Perpetual Trophies will be presented to the winner and immediately returned.
  10. Competitors should be aware that in the case of quarantine lockdown, the owner is responsible for his/her own and his/her animal welfare and all costs incurred.
  11. Drug Testing may be carried out at this show. Any competitor, owner or exhibitor found to have breached the ASC Disputes and Disciplinary Regulations will be investigated by the ASC Disciplinary Committee and dealt with accordingly.  Any penalty imposed as a result of an infringement will be fully supported by the Gunnedah Show Society.
  12. Photo’s taken at the Gunnedah Show may be used for future publicity.
  13. PIC Numbers - people with horses on their property need to apply for a Property Identification Code - this is a bio-security measure. PIC’s are assigned to individual properties and allocated by Livestock Health and Pest Authorities who maintain a register.  You may already have a PIC if you pay your rates to LPHA.  Forms can be submitted on line through www.lhpa.org.au.  Every exhibitor bringing horses to the show will be required to list each horse being shown together with the PIC for the property from which it has come on the Waiver form before competing.
  14. No lunging on the Longmuir fields or tying of horses to floats or main arena.
  15. No electrical tape or rope to be used anywhere on the showground to fence horses in.
  16. All electrical appliances, cables and gas bottles must be tagged, stamped, in date and covered.
