Event Information

The Bathurst Visitor Information Centre coordinates bookings for Carrington Park camping during the Bathurst 1000.

- Carrington Park entry gate is open from:
- Wednesday 5 October - 12:00pm to 8:00pm
- Thursday 6 to Monday 10 October - 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Outside these times, entry is via the Bathurst Sportsground entry gate (open 24 hours).
- Max 6 people per site. Tent and camper trailer sites are approximately 6m x 8m. Limited caravan sites are available at Carrington Park with sizes ranging from 6m x 15m. Generally these sizes are met, however in some instance measurements may vary.
- One vehicle parked per site. Additional vehicles may park outside the Bathurst Sportsground and Carrington Park. Unregistered or un-roadworthy vehicles will not be permitted into the area.
- Wristbands are provided for each member of the group and must be worn to obtain entry to campgrounds. Bathurst Visitor Information Centre, 1 Kendall Avenue is the collection point from Wednesday 5 October, 8:30am – 5:00pm, Thursday 6 - Sunday 9 October and 9:00am - 5:00pm. Outside these hours wristbands can be collected from entry gates.
- 24 hour security will be provided at the Bathurst Sportsground entry gate from 8:30am Wednesday 5 to 10:00am to Monday 10 October.
- Access to power is not available; however, campers are welcome to bring generators that will not interfere unreasonably with the comfort of neighbours.
- Amenities include toilets and showers.
- NO FIRES permitted in the camping area. Gas hotplates may be used for cooking.
- No glass bottles permitted.
- No animals permitted.
- All guests under the age of 18 years to be accompanied by an adult.

Refunds will be available if camping is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Conditions of Entry
- Orderly conduct is expected at all times. Security will be monitoring the area and reserve the right to refuse entry to the campgrounds to any person deemed unfit or acting inappropriately, at their discretion.
- One vehicle parked per site. Additional vehicles may park outside Carrington Park.
- A maximum of six people allowed to camp per site.
- All guests under the age of 18 years are to be accompanied by an adult.
- Vehicles may only be used to enter and exit the campground. Unregistered or un-roadworthy vehicles will not be permitted into the area.
- Camping will not be permitted inside the oval fence and any persons caught doing so will be evicted.
- No fires are permitted in the Carrington Park camping area. Gas hotplates may be used for cooking.
- No glass bottles are permitted into the Carrington Park camping area.
- No animals are allowed into Carrington Park.
- Bathurst Regional Council and its employees are in no way liable for the loss, damage or injury to person or property incurred by the camper and any accompanying persons staying at the Carrington Park.
