Event Information
With the re-opening of Millthorpe Station on Friday 15th March, the Lachlan Valley Railway is wasting no time in taking advantage of the long-awaited return of this destination for tourist trains.

Departing Orange at 11.25am, the LVR heritage train will arrive shortly after the Dubbo-bound XPT delivers its dignatories and departs Millthorpe. The train will then sit at the platform whilst official proceedings take place and the celebrations begin.
Passengers from Orange will then have a couple of hours to enjoy the all the delights the village has to offer and have lunch at one of Millthorpe’s many eateries before the return journey to Orange.
In addition, Millthorpe locals may join the train and head down the line to Blayney or Bathurst and back.
Or just enjoy a heritage train ride through the beautiful Central West countryside to Bathurst and back.

  • 2.30pm Bathurst

  • 4.30pm Millthorpe (and depart for Orange return)

Tickets are on sale for all each day with the following fares:

Orange to Millthorpe or Blayney and return

  • Adult $15 Child age 4-15 years $7.50 under 4 travel free (Sits on Lap)
Millthorpe or Blayney to Bathurst and return
  • Adult $20 Child $10
Orange to Bathurst and return
  • Adult $30 Child $15.
