The Orana Writers’ Hub offers encouragement and expertise to writers of all ages, styles and stages. Attendance is not obligatory to members, but we welcome the expertise of experienced writers. 


The Hub meets on the first Saturday of the month (except January) from 10am-1pm in the Music Room of the WPCC Community Arts building.

The Outback Writers' Centre (OWC) is committed to building a vibrant writing culture in the Orana Region.

This is the 10th anniversary of the Dubbo Writers' Festival, organised by writers, for writers, where we invite industry professionals to run workshops, talk one-on-one about your project and participate in a free panel about publishing.

What do published authors get?

We promote your book launches in our monthly email and celebrate launches, sales and wins on our Facebook page.


Display your books for sale at the monthly Hub meeting.

Publish your website/blog links on www.outbackwriters.weebly.com driving traffic to your blogs, books, launches, business and writing events, thus increasing your traffic and sales.


Publish short stories, poems, memoir, reviews and author interviews in our blog.

Your membership helps us attract grants $$$ so that we can continue to provide writers with opportunities to develop their knowledge, understanding and practice in all aspects of writing and publishing through our Hub meetings, pop up workshops annual festival.
