SMOKESCREEN 2025 SEASON PASS
Taking place at the Drama Room at the WPCC, Smokescreen brings Dubbo residents the opportunity to witness iconic and influential films from the history of cinema in a friendly and welcoming space.
Don’t miss out on this year’s Smokescreen Series get your season pass for $75. Smokescreen runs from February to November on the First Saturday of the month at WPCC.
The theme for 2025 is 'The Unexpected'. The unexpected in cinema can refer to unexpected actor choices, unexpected endings or 'twists', unexpected character developments, unexpected themes, or unexpected audience reactions. We may delight, wonder, laugh, be horrified or saddened but all within relative worlds that can be safely removed from our day to day lives. Each film chosen for the 2025 season takes a familiar characterisation, scene or trope from the science fiction universe and diverts expectations. From groundbreaking new ideas in portraying space and time, to film settings and cinematography that redefined how audiences experienced a genre that is often only thought of as ‘those Star films’.
Tickets include 'Buy one, get one free' offer at the Establishment Bar after each film. Over 18s only.

Terms & Conditions
Season Passes are non-refundable. Season Pass includes a 'Buy one, get one free offer' for over 18s only at the Establishment Bar following each film on presentation of your drink coupon. This is valid for the night of each film only and cannot be redeemed at any other point.
It is the responsibility of the attendees to check the classification of the film and adhere to the recommendations by the Australian Classification Board regarding age and suitability of the content.
The right of admission is reserved. The Western Plains Cultural Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the venue - any persons causing a disturbance, partaking in an activity not allowed in the venue (smoking etc.), conducting any illegal activity or refusing to comply with reasonable requests from management.
The Establishment Bar Dubbo is an 18+ venue, any attendees under the age of 18 forfeit their drink voucher.
Any personal information provided on arrival at WPCC is protected under the privacy and personal information protection act, 1998 (PIPA).
