Itinerary:
Monday & Tuesday - Guide School hosted by Savannah Guides. Guides with 12 months experience will be able to qualify as EcoGuides at the workshop as we’ll run through the EcoGuide workbook as well as some storytelling best practice tips. There is more detail on EcoGuide here: https://savannah-guides.com.au/tour-guide-training/ecoguide-certification/. There is a basic application and annual cost associated. This certifies guides as high standard to a national benchmark that is used at numerous ACKMA Guide sites as well as the broader tourism industry.
Wednesday - Explore the Region (Bus trip to Dubbo* or explore on your own at your own pace)
Thursday & Friday - Conference, presentations and on site activities
Full Event including Eco Guide Certification - $650
(Monday to Friday)
Inclusions:
- Sunday night welcome dinner
- Monday – Tuesday: Savannah Guides Eco Guide Training and Accreditation/Certification (includes certification costs and first year of membership)
- Wednesday: Bus tour of Dubbo Region, includes coach travel, entry to Royal Flying Doctors Experience Centre, Escapes Tour at Old Dubbo Gaol, bus tour through Taronga Western Plains Zoo and lunch
- Wednesday night: dinner in Wellington and transport via bus to and from venue
- Thursday – Friday: Conference and on site activities
- Friday night farewell dinner
