Event Information
William Alexander is a fresh new talent in the world of traditional Australian country music. With a rich voice that commands attention, and a deep respect for the genre’s legacy, this young singer-songwriter weaves soul and storytelling into every one of his heartfelt performances. As a true lover of old songs, William channels the timeless sound of classic country, shaped by years of working on farms and stations across New South Wales.
Whether on stage or in the studio, his storytelling (or interpretation of each song? vocal artistry? vocal delivery?) is filled with authenticity and raw emotion, all while keeping his music deeply rooted in his Australian identity.
2024 marked a breakthrough year, with his long awaited debut album ‘The Singing Stockman’, earning x2 Golden Guitar award nominations at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2025.
That same year, he was also officially named the winner of the 2025 Thornton Young Award, supported by LWM House and the CMAA, further cementing his place as a rising star in the contemporary country music scene.
With new music on the way (or on the horizon?), William Alexander is one of Australian country’s most exciting new voices.
Come and enjoy a night with William Alexander at the Crossroads along with special guests Jessie May!
