Event Information
The Carrathool Jockey Club is pleased to announce that we will be racing on 28th March 2026! The day is organised by the Carrathool Jockey Club in the small town of Carrathool. The town bursts at the seams with over 1000 excited race lovers.
The event is a 6 race program, starting at around 1 pm with local and metropolitan bookies and the SKY channel. There are fantastic prizes on offer from our sponsors, along with the famous Jackeroo Dash and Jilleroo Sprint.
There will be a continuous BBQ and licensed bar (no glass allowed). A range of beverages will be available including beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks with a ticket system operating for quick and easy service. Tickets must be purchased at the ticket tent before ordering at the bar (sorry, no refund if you have leftover tickets at the end of the night).
EFTPOS
There will be EFTPOS available at the ticketing stand NOTE PLEASE STILL BRING CASH as eftpos is reliant on internet in the remote chance we have technical difficulties it will be unavailabe. There will be no cash withdrawals avalable.
The Racetrack and race day is a licenced event and no alcohol may be bought onto the Racetrack.
MARQUEES
MARQUEES are available and must be purchased separately. Purchase of a marquee does not include ticket entry to the races. Marquees can be puchased online through 123tix.

Catering for you marquee has been made simple this year with the help of So&So Seasonal. Please contact So&So Seasonal for all your catering needs delivered straight to your marquee on race day! ALCOHOL
Alcohol cannot be taken onto the track and alcohol for the marquees can be ordered through the Jockey Club. Please contact Annabel Ryan (annabelryan86@gmail.com) for an alcohol order form. Ice and eskies are to be provided by the marquee organiser and alcohol will be distributed to the marquee on race day.
INTOXICATION OR ANY INDECENT, VIOLENT OR QUARRELSOME CONDUCT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AT THIS EVENT!
Terms & Conditions
Refunds
Unless required by law NO REFUND OR EXCHANGE will be given except for in the unlikely circumstances of cancellation of the event by the organiser. Refund liability is limited to the total amount of the Ticket purchase (including any fees or charges). The seller is not liable for expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO THE RACETRACK
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following prohibited items are not permitted into the Racetrack and are subject to immediate confiscation:
- Glass or breakable containers;
- Cans or metal containers; (unless purchased on the grounds)
- Illicit drugs;
- Flares or Fireworks;
- Firearms of any kind;
- Laser Pointers;
- Knives or other dangerous weapons including potential missiles;
- Skateboards, scooters, roller blades or bicycles;
- Large items including eskies;
- Flags; and
- Other items as determined by the Jockey Club that may cause injury or public nuisance.
GENERAL ENTRY CONDITIONS
For the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all persons, the Jockey Club advises that:
- Person gaining unauthorised access to the Racetrack and/or any of the Racetrack’s specific areas may be liable for prosecution.
- Persons enter the Racetrack at their own risk and must take proper care of all things they bring onto the Racetrack, the Jockey Club is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property.
- Persons entering the Racetrack agree to be responsible for their own actions and indemnify the Jockey Club against any loss or liability, cost, expense or damages arising from or in relation to their acts or omissions.
- The Jockey Club reserves the right to inspect and/or search bags brought into or out of the Racetrack and search all persons, their clothing and other items of such persons.
- Persons causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with requests from the Jockey Club will be ejected from the Racetrack.
- The Jockey Club may eject a person from the Racetrack for unauthorised sales or hawking of goods and services.
- The Jockey Club may refuse admission to or eject persons from the Racetrack at its sole discretion.
- Persons entering the Racetrack must adhere to the Work Health & Safety legislation.
- Smoking is prohibited indoors and at all catering or public seating areas of the Racetrack, and where indicated by ‘No Smoking’ signage.
- Any ticket purchased to enable entry into the Racetrack cannot be exchanged or returned after purchase.
- A person entering the Racetrack may be photographed, filmed, taped and/or subjected to monitoring by close circuit television and it is deemed that a person by entering the Racetrack consents to the Jockey Club or third parties appointed by the Jockey Club photographing, filming or taping. The Jockey Club or third parties appointed by the Jockey Club can broadcast, publish, licence and use any photographs, film, recordings or images without compensation. The Jockey Club, third parties and anyone acquiring from them a right to use the material are not liable to the subject for its use in any way. The Jockey Club strictly complies with the Workplace Surveillance Act 2005.
- Parking is restricted to designated areas and vehicles must not block emergency egress doors or emergency vehicle access roads and are to give way to emergency vehicles.
- All accidents or emergencies are to be immediately reported to the Secretary’s Office or authorised personnel.
- Persons must obey all signs, notices and directions given by the Jockey Club whilst at the Racetrack.
Photography: It is not our intention for amateur photographers to be restricted from taking photos around the Racetrack, providing that:-
- the photographer is not causing annoyance or inconvenience to other show patrons;
- that the subject of the photo is not one detailed in the Summary Offences Act 1988 (NSW) ;
- the subjects have given their consent (if under 18 then their parent’s consent); and
- the photos are not to be sold for commercial gain.
NOTE: Any variation to the policy will be at the sole discretion of the Jockey Club.
