Event Information

St Stanislaus College – Sesquicentenary Dinner

In November 1866 Bishop Matthew Quinn was welcomed into Bathurst as the first Bishop of the Catholic Diocese. Two months later, in January 1867 he opened a high school for boys – under the direction of Mr Michael McGirr. Twenty-two years later in 1889 responsibility for the College was taken up by the Vincentians – a responsibility they have held to this day.

When the school opened in January 1867 Bishop Quinn expressed his hopes:

It is the earnest wish of my heart that before many years have elapsed, the brightest laurel and proudest boasts of the young men of my diocese, shall be to have been educated at St Stanislaus High School.

In 2017, the College celebrates its Sesquicentenary.

To celebrate this milestone, the College is hosting a Sesquicentenary Dinner to be held on Saturday 11 November 2017 in the College Performing Arts Centre commencing at 6pm for 6.30pm.

Tickets are $100 per person and includes:

  • 3 course meal and complimentary wine/soft drink on arrival
  • Entertainment
  • Lucky door prizes
  • Raffles

Dress: Cocktail

We look forward to a wonderful evening of celebration as MC Michael Croke interviews past Old Boys, and we welcome and re-connect with Vincentian priests, as well as current and former members of the Stannies community.

Tickets can be sold by table (10 per table) or individual purchases.

For guests not able to purchase tickets online, please contact 123tix via 02 6881 8632.
