Find your answer below in our FAQs and help articles. If you can't find what you're looking for, reach out to our support team today
A time limit is placed on the booking process at the top of each page. As you move through the booking process, you will see the timer counting down. This time limit may vary between events depending on the features the organiser is using.
If you exceed the time limit, the tickets you are holding will be released and someone else can pick those up.
If you are booking tickets for an event with a seating map: If you exceed the timer during the booking process the seat may still be held for 10-15 minutes.
Once the seat becomes available again it will change colour from grey to let you know its now available.
The organiser may request a maximum number of tickets able to be purchased placed on an event to make sure everyone gets a fair chance to buy tickets.

A Card Verification Code, or CVC, is a number that provides extra security to credit and a debit cardholder, in case an unauthorised person gets a hold of your card number. CVCs are one way to make sure someone has the actual card in their possession.
The CVC on American Express cards is four digits, and is located on the front of the card, on the right side. MasterCard and Visa use three-digit CVCs, which are listed on the back of the card. The CVC is the last three digits of the number that appears on your signature bar.
If you are unable to locate your CVC number, please contact your financial institution for assistance.
It is at the Event Organiser's discretion as to whether a Companion Card is accepted for tickets to their event. If it is not stated on their event details or terms and conditions, the question can always be asked. Get in contact with our team or contact the organiser directly.

Tickets for some events are available to book before they're released to the general public. Presales frequently require a password that may be distributed by 123 Tix or the organiser and promoters, usually via email. Often these passwords are exclusively distributed to members of clubs or certain other types of groups and cannot be offered to members of the public.
For presales please refer to the group offering the presale for details. This password will appear in the presale email along with the presale opening and closing times.
Presales are usually sold from a separate allocation of seats, which may not be the same as the tickets being released to the general public. This gives you the chance to book before the general release, which often means there are fewer people competing for the pool of tickets available. But this doesn't necessarily guarantee you get better seats. When an event's really popular, how close you are to the stage sometimes comes down to the luck of the draw and sometimes you might find that you get tickets closer to the stage during the general sale.
It's important to remember that we can't offer an exchange if you book during the presale and then find tickets that you'd prefer during the general sale, so please make sure you're happy with the seats before going ahead and booking them.
When a popular event goes on sale there are literally hundreds and sometimes thousands of customers simultaneously attempting to purchase tickets across all distribution channels. As with any limited commodity, tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and sometimes they go very quickly.
If hundreds of customers are simultaneously buying several tickets each, thousands of tickets can be sold in a matter of seconds. For this reason it is possible to sell out a venue within the space of a few minutes.
If family tickets are offered for an event, the event page on our site will be able to provide information as to what types of tickets and how many tickets are included in the family ticket price.

Concession and Children's ticket entitlements vary from event to event. Event promoters decide whether or not to offer these ticket and how they would like to offer concessions and children's tickets.
Certain venues are affected by alcohol licensing laws preventing minors from attending events.
Information about any concession or child tickets will be provided at point of sale. Online, you can find information about the concession policies for specific events on the event ticketing page under Event Description or orgainiser Terms and Conditions.

“Reserved” tickets mean you are given a row and a seat number and therefore know before the event where you will be seated. Reserved seating events will display a seating map duringt the booking process for you to select your seat from.
“Unreserved” or “General Admission” tickets may be seating or standing tickets, and are allocated on a first-in, best-dressed basis at the event. The position you sit or stand usually depends on when you arrive at the venue. The organiser may include information regarding the General Admission lay out e.g. seated or standing in the event description.
Running times for an event are not always available in advance of the performance. Where running times are available they will be outlined in the event description.
Please be aware that running times are approximate and subject to change without notice.
