Event Information
The PWS Training Weekend at Monaro is designed to encourage, educate, and mentor young people with practical training, professional development and networking opportunities relevant to the Sheep Industry.
Topics covered to include Stockmanship, Animal Health, Sheep Selection, Pasture Assessment, Working with Wool, Business and Mental Health. (Subject to change).
Open to 18 - 30 year olds (at 1st January 2026) currently involved in the Australian Sheep and Wool Industry.
Accommodation provided for the 20th and 21st November and meals included (except Saturday 21st dinner at local pub). Access to accommodation from after 4:30pm on Friday 20th November.
$55 cover charge to contribute toward catering.
Spots are limited and offered on a first- in, best dressed basis for first time PWS Training Weekend Attendees.
Your spot is not confirmed until notified by the PWS Executive Officer.
Spots are non-transferrable.

PWS Training Weekend Monaro is open to applicants aged 18-30 years, as of 1st January 2026. By purchasing this ticket, you acknowledge that there are limited spots for the Training Weekend and all spots are filled on a first-in, best dressed basis (for first time PWS Training Weekend attendees), after which applicants will be added to a waiting list. Once your ticket is purchased, the PWS Executive Officer will be in contact to confirm your spot for the Training Weekend or on the waitlist. Spots are non-transferrable.
Please note, the cover charge is allocated to contribute toward catering for each individual for the event. If you would like to attend the weekend but are not in a financial position to pay the $55 cover charge, please contact PWS Executive Officer (peterwestbladescholarship@gmail.com) to discuss your options, considerations will be on a case-by- case basis.
By purchasing a ticket and attending this event, you acknowledge and consent to your image (including photographs and video) being captured and used by the organisers for promotional and marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, use on social media, the website, other promotional platforms and inclusion in media releases.
As an attendee you agree to abide by the rules set out by the property manager and outlined by the Peter Westblade Scholarship which will be distributed prior to the event. By purchasing this this ticket, you acknowledge you will be sharing a room with another attendee.
