Pre-Sale Tickets
Pre-sale tickets allow selected customers to purchase tickets before your general public sale begins. You can control when the pre-sale starts, limit the number of uses, and share access using either a pre-sale code or a direct link.
Step 1: Access Event Management
- Log into your account.
- Navigate to "Manage Events."
- Select "Current Events." This will display a list of all the events you're currently managing.
- Find the event you want to edit. Click on the blue hyperlinked event title to access the event's settings.
Step 2: Changing Ticket Sales Start Time
- Locate the "Dates & Times" section. This section contains all the essential date and time settings for your event.
- Find the "Ticket Sales Start Time" field. This field determines when general ticket sales begin.
- Click on the blank field to choose the specific date and time you want to start general ticket sales.
To run a presale, you must set both a Ticket sales start date and time. This is when the general public sale begins. If you leave it blank, tickets go on sale as soon as the event is published, and the presale option isn't available.
Step 3: Adding Presale Codes
Click "Presale your event" and then "Add code". A unique code is created for you.
Customise your presale:
Label: Shown to customers who access the presale (for example "Members Presale Access"). Leave this blank for a standard presale.
Max uses: Control how many times this code can be used, or leave blank for unlimited.
Becomes active: Leave blank for the code to work as soon as you save, or select the date and time you want the presale to start.
Share the presale by sending customers the code ("Copy code") or a direct link ("Copy link"), so they can buy tickets before the general public.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Tips
- Test your pre-sale before sharing it with customers.
- Double-check your pre-sale and general sale dates and times.
- If a pre-sale code is compromised, you can regenerate it at any time. The previous code will become invalid immediately.
- Use labels to identify different pre-sale groups, such as Members, Sponsors or VIP Guests.
If a pre-sale code is compromised, click "Regenerate Code" and save your event. The previous code stops working once you save.
