Single Session Ticket Types
Creating your ticket categories and ticket types is an important step in setting up your event. Well-organised tickets make it easier for customers to purchase the correct tickets and help you manage attendance more effectively.
Step 1: Access Event Management
Log in to your account.
Navigate to "Manage Events" and then "Current Events".
Find the event you wish to create the tickets for and select “Tickets” in the “Event Options” column.
Step 2: Creating Ticket Categories/Ticket Types
If this is a new event, choose "Single session" under "How does this event run?".
Click "Create your first ticket type".
Choose "Price" or "Free" at the top of the form.
Enter a "Category" name. By default, this is set to "General Admission" (maximum 30 characters).
Optionally, add a "Section label" (maximum 8 characters) and a "Category Label Colour".
In the "Ticket type" box, type your ticket name (for example, Adult, Child or Concession), maximum 30 characters.
Enter your ticket price in the "Price" field.
If you want to restrict access to this ticket type, tick "Restricted ticket" under "Advanced options" and configure the settings.
Click "Save" at the top of the panel. Your first ticket type is created with the category.
To add more ticket types to the category, click the green "Add ticket type" button under it, fill in the name and price, and click "Save".
Tips:
Use short, easy-to-understand names (e.g., "General Admission" instead of "Standard Entry Ticket").
If your event has different seating areas, age groups, or access levels, organise them into categories for better clarity.
Double-check ticket prices, availability, and any order limits to avoid overselling or confusion.
Add brief descriptions to help attendees choose the right ticket type.
Use the “Visibility” feature to control when and where tickets appear for sale.
For exclusive or VIP tickets, set up a password to limit access to select buyers.
Click “Save” after each major update to avoid losing any changes.
