Cloning an Event

Cloning an event allows you to create a new event using the settings, ticket types and configuration from an existing event. This is useful for recurring events, festivals and annual events.

Step 1: Open the Clone Page

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Navigate to "Manage Events" and then "Current Events".

  3. Find the event and select "Clone" in the "Event Options" drop-down.

Step 2: Configure the New Event

  1. Enter the Start Date, End Date (if different to the start) and Name for the new event.

  2. To create more than one copy, click "Add Date" and fill in another row.

  3. Choose whether to:

    • Auto link cloned events to original event.

    • Make cloned events live (leave unticked to review them first).

  4. Under "Also copy across", tick anything else you want copied: Extras, Coupons, Automated Discounts or Add-on Page sections. Nothing in this list is copied unless you tick it.

  5. Click "Clone".

Step 3: Review the Cloned Event

  1. After the cloning process is complete, review your event and update any information that has changed, including:
    - Event details
    - Dates and times
    - Ticket types and pricing
    - Images and descriptions
    - Event settings

  2. Once you have finished reviewing your event, publish it if it has not already been made live.

Tips:

  • Cloning an event copies your existing setup, reducing the time required to create recurring events.
  • Leave Make Cloned Events Live disabled if you want to review your event before tickets go on sale.
  • Use Auto Link when creating a series of related events so attendees can easily navigate between them.
  • Always review your cloned event before publishing to ensure all information is current.
