Abandoned Bookings Report

The Abandoned Bookings Report helps you identify customers who started the checkout process but did not complete their purchase.

To open it, click "Reports" in the left-hand menu and select Sales & Revenue -> Abandoned Bookings (or go to Attendees -> Abandoned Bookings).

Select Current & Future or Past Events, choose one or more events under "Filter by Event(s)", set a date range if needed and click "Search". Use the All / Pending / Abandoned / Recovered tabs above the list to filter by booking status.

The report provides insights including:

  • Total abandoned, lost revenue, average cart value and recovery rate

  • Conversion rates for each event

  • Peak abandonment periods (busiest days and hours)

  • Date and time of each abandoned booking

  • Reminder performance: reminders sent and bookings recovered after a reminder

Customers are sent up to three reminder emails while they haven't paid: "Complete your booking", "We missed you" and a final "Last chance".

From the report you can also Export CSV or PDF, Remind All customers who haven't had a reminder yet, export the list for Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor, or Sync to List with your connected email marketing platform.

These insights can help you identify booking trends, understand customer behaviour and improve ticket conversion rates.

Tips
  • Filter the report to focus on specific events or booking statuses.
  • Review peak abandonment periods to identify potential issues during the booking process.
  • Monitor estimated lost revenue to measure the impact of abandoned bookings.
  • Review the follow-up email schedule to understand when customers will be reminded to complete their purchase.
