Embark on a Scenic Adventure to the Shoalhaven: A Berry Nice Adventure!
Join us for a breathtaking journey along the stunning South Coast as we whisk you away from Sydney to the charming town of Berry. Our scenic train ride offers an unforgettable experience, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, rolling through the lush Royal National Park and following the coastline south.
If you’ve ridden the iconic Cockatoo Run, you’ll recognise the first part of the journey, as we pass some of the magnificent landscapes that earned the route its iconic status. At Unanderra, we continue southward, instead of scaling the escarpment, to follow the coast through the picturesque towns of Kiama and Gerringong, before finally reaching historic Berry.
Once you arrive in Berry, you have the option to explore the famous Berry Markets, home to over 200 stalls selling everything from handmade arts and crafts to locally produced foods and collectables. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll through the town itself, which traces its humble beginnings back to dairy farming and cedar cutting.
For those seeking more adventure, you can choose to alight at either Kiama or Bomaderry. If you’re looking for the full rail experience, continue on to Bomaderry or discover the beauty of Kiama, famed for its beaches, blowhole, and scenic coastal walks.
